Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Record and manage daily financial transactions within the accounting system.
- Prepare and process payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
- Perform regular bank, petty cash, and supplier account reconciliations.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Support budget preparation and expenditure tracking.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, and VAT where applicable.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and reference purposes.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and provide insights on the organization’s financial position.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
- Perform additional finance and accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA Part II or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan statutory and tax regulations.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
