Reporting to: Managing Director, Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Market Development:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in international markets.
  • Identify new growth opportunities and create market-entry strategies for untapped regions.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing international clients.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business through excellent client service.

Brand Building & Promotion:

  • Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to develop and execute effective brand-building initiatives.
  • Lead targeted promotional activities, including trade shows, digital marketing, and advertising campaigns.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including logistics, operations, and legal, to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of products.
  • Address any challenges related to supply chain, distribution, and export documentation.

Strategic Product Marketing:

  • Leverage digital marketing channels and e-commerce platforms to increase reach and engagement with international customers.
  • Utilize Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), social media, and email marketing to generate leads and drive sales growth.
  • Lead the creation of product content and ensure it effectively reaches the target audience and markets.
  • Establish a strong product presence across relevant platforms to enhance visibility and drive sales.

Logistics & Compliance:

  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply chain challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including obtaining export permits and maintaining accurate documentation.

Strategic Expansion & Opportunity Identification:

  • Continuously assess market trends and identify new business opportunities, including expanding into untapped geographic regions.
  • Develop and execute market-entry strategies for new territories, driving sales growth in these areas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in export sales, business development, or international trade, ideally within the edible oil or agriculture industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving market expansion.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute sales strategies with measurable results.
  • Experience with market analysis, lead generation, and managing client relationships across international markets.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and close high-value deals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends. Ability to think strategically and adapt sales approaches based on market insights.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including SEO, SEM, and social media platforms. Experience with e-commerce platforms and CRM software is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required. Additional language proficiency, especially in key international markets, is a significant advantage.
