The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of procurement processes and strong organizational skills. They should be proactive in sourcing and purchasing while maintaining accurate documentation and effective supplier coordination. Attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work well within a team are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for IT hardware, CCTV equipment, and related services.
- Request and analyze quotations; prepare comparison sheets.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and follow up on confirmations.
- Maintain supplier records and pricing databases.
- Track shipments and coordinate deliveries to project sites.
- Assist with import and delivery documentation.
- Maintain organized procurement files and records.
- Coordinate with project, technical, and finance teams.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement, such as CIPS Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, or its equivalent, is an added advantage.
- Proven experience as a procurement assistant or a similar role.
- Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and practices.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience with project-based procurement management.
- Familiarity with technology and IT equipment related to CCTV, access control, and other systems mentioned.
- 1–2 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain. Experience in an IT or technical environment is an added advantage.
